Le Bozec Equipments

Wind and Rain Tunnel
A specific test bench has been developed to simulate the landing speed of an aircraft and to recreate various rain conditions. This tool is used in the certification process of the Rain Repellent System to demonstrate its efficiency on a windshield to airworthiness authorities for each new application.

Clean Room
This room is used for filter acceptance testing to demonstrate the contractual cleanliness of the unit sold, or for development testing to measure filtering efficiency.
The room cleanness category is ISO 7 as per ISO 14 644-1 (or 10,000 per FS209E).
It has been equipped with an automated image analyzer which allows a flexible and reliable particle counting.

Air Filtration

A dedicated test bench, using diaphragm airflow measurement, has been built to determine the dust or tobacco smoke holding capacity (as per NFL 44012 and EUROVENT 4/5 derived from ASHRAE 52/76) of Air Filters during development phases.
Different Airflows can be applied, up to 2000 M3/hour.
The bench allows a temperature and hydrometric control of the airflow. Devices have been specifically developed for dust and tobacco smoke injection.

Fuel Filtration

Fuel Filters are tested for nominal and maximum pressure while in development stage or during the manufacturing process. Fuel test facilities are located in a dedicated room and feature a Static Bench (no flow rate) and a Dynamic Bench (medium flow rate / high flow rate up to 30m3/h).
Each bench is equipped with a high precision acquisition device to measure pressure drop and adjust detector settings (clogging, bypass etc…)
Fluids used are AIR3405 F35 (additive free kerosene) and gasoline AVGAS.

Other Test Facilities:

Controlled humidity Room: This Room uses the Le Bozec Humidifier System to control the humidity in the room and to qualify all dryer system.

Hydraulic Filtration: Hydraulic Test Bench: This bench is specific for hydraulic filters to measure their efficiency.

Fluid Filtration: Absolute filtration rating Measurement Bench: This Bench measures the absolute filtration rating for any filter for liquids (oil, water, fuel…) as per NFL 41.123

Pressure Control Systems

	Equipments Acceptance Testing Bench (high pressure): Filters are evaluated to ensure the conformity with the specifications.
	Skydrol Test Bench (high flow rate / high pressure): During the development process, this bench is mainly used for fatigue testing.
